The "Gospel" means the "good news" that God has for each and everyone no matter the color, class, position, or personality. That of course includes you! God created you and wants to have a relationship with you -- yes you!

Here at The Congregational Church of Bound Brook you will find a warm welcome from this community of believers. While we gather for worship and community events, we stress the biblical privilege and responsibility of every Christian to work out his or her own relationship with Christ.

Come, join us in worship, in fellowship, in studies, in community...

"For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20

"Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ." 1 Peter 5:14

A Warm Welcome

On Monday after the installation I was driving to work and the song "I Believe I Can Fly" came on the radio. I was still experiencing a high from the Installation experience the day before. A great day was had by all. I had people telling me nothing but good things about the order of service, the music, the preaching, the greeters, the fellowship, the food and the warm welcome they received from the congregation. At that moment, I believed I could fly. But, the wind beneath my wings would have to be the support from the members, friends and families of the Congregational Church.

A warm welcome was what I received at each and every search committee meeting. I quickly determined this congregation was not faking any part of who they were. They were, and still are, a welcoming group that extends a friendly handshake to anyone who walks through their doors. And don't let age fool you. I heard from others that our youth greeters extended a hand, a smile, a chat and a warm welcome to attendees at the Installation. I am very proud of our youth group. At the other end of the spectrum, our senior members came out twice that day to worship, enjoy in the celebration and stay to clean up afterwards. They did not look a bit tired and also greeted others with a warm welcome. I know because my friends told me what a lively and warm bunch we have.

Most of Paul's letters ended with greetings. Greet one another with a kiss of love, he often said. We at CCBB continue to greet others with a warm welcome and we know there is peace in this house. Amen!
